A live version of REDO PAKISTAN has been selected for the SPILL Festival at the National Theatre studios.

"Declarations" (exclusive Launch)

Venue: Aicon Gallery. 6-9pm

 

Curators Fatima Hussain and Hamja Ahsan discussed the project on the evening.

Newspapers were given away for free at this event.

Exclusive launch event of "Redo Pakistan Issue 2010: Declaration of WAR against the Present Time", kicking off a series of events in London and the Midlands.

PAKISTAN FILM NIGHT. FUNDRAISER FOR PAKISTANI FLOODS

Venue: DEPARTURE. 649 Commercial Road. 7-9pm

 

-Hammad Khan's early films from around his hometown 'Peshawar', poetic composition titled 'Images from Islamabad', and sneak preview of SLACKISTAN (www.slackistanthemovie.com)

-Khaldoon Ahmed's film archive from the Pakistan earthquake. He also talked about his project "Islamic Relief" ( www.khaldoonfilms.co.uk )

-Sadia-ur-Rehman's new commissioned film on 'Pakistan Zindabaad!!'

-Avaes Mohammad read his new story on Iqbal's grave, and short stories on Faiz.

-Redo Pakistan newspaper were given away for free at the event.

'Performance/Picnic'

Venue: Speakers Corner. 2pm Onwards

 

Avaes Mohammad performed 'Poetics of Bhutto Speeches'.

Rez Kabir performed a fictional monologue around Jinnah, Nehru and Ghandis promises.

Newspapers were given away for free at this event.

Picnic. Discussion on how the creative community can show ongoing solidarity with the Pakistani flood survivors.
